VBrick 6200 MPEG-2 Video Encoder/Decoder
Configuration Instructions

These instructions, provided by Star Valley Solutions, Inc., describe how to configure a VBrick MPEG-2 encoder to send and receive streaming video from a Star Valley codec.

NOTE: Star Valley Solutions, Inc. currently only supports the interoperability of VBrick MPEG-2 devices (VBrick MPEG-2 units are 4000, 5000, and 6000 units). We are currently working on adding the MPEG-1 Line (VBrick MPEG-1 units are 1000, 2000, and 3000 units).

Sending to a VBrick MPEG-2 Device
Simply choose the VBrick selection in the pull down menu of the SVS Encode page.

Receiving from a VBrick MPEG-2 Device
(There are some parameters that must match.)

Defaults for the VBrick may be set differently than the Star Valley code, and need to be changed to match the SVS MPEG-2 device.

1) Verify that you are set for unicast or multicast on both ends.
2) Verify that you are using the correct addresses on both ends.
3) Verify that the TX/RX ports being used match on both ends.
4) Verify that the Video and audio PID’s match on both ends.
5) Adjust the Datagram / Packet size from 1300-4096k on VBrick.
6) Standard MTU size should not be changed on either device.
